...Brian Baumgartner, Actor.
Brian plays the much beloved "Kevin Malone" on NBC's "The Office".
Prior to joining the Accounting Department at Dunder Mifflin and fronting the Police cover-band, Scrantonicity, Brian popped up on shows such as: "CSI", "Arrested Development", and "Everwood".
He's about to appear in Scranton, PA with Angela Kinsey ("Angela") to help promote the upcoming Office Convention they will be having, but before he headed off to Scranton, he took some time out to provide us with his Two Cents & Five Answers!
Two Cents: The Office Finale is tonight, do you find yourself dying for something to do till next season or do you enjoy the time off?
BB: Time off? What time off? While the show is off the air, rest assured, we will be working away to get the episodes ready for Season 4's Premiere. We start back to work in the middle of the summer, to get a jump on next season. And until then, I will be in Hawaii, painstakingly concentrating on nothing but Kevin.
TC: What do you wish the fans could see about behind the scenes of the show?
BB: Nothing. And I am serious. I think the mystery is part of the fun. Everyone wants to KNOW everything all the time. I think it is more enjoyable to watch as it was intended on the air in the regular timeslot. Maybe I am old fashioned in that way. But I won't give up anything to my Mom either. I am trying to make it the most fun FOR HER. She doesn't believe me that it is better that way.
Not to get too philosophical, but people want to see behind the curtain. i prefer to be entertained in the moment. Fact: when we are screening episodes on the night one episode airs. I watch the aired episode, then leave the room. I don't want to see ahead even though I lived through it.
TC: Do you have any favorite fun websites you visit? And what fun websites do you think your Character would visit?
BB: I am an IMDB- Pro guy. That site is genius for finding entertainment info. And Variety. And well, MySpace.
Kevin prefers GirlsGoneWild.com/ the party just keeps growing.
TC: What is the most embarrassing 'fad' you completely bought in to?
BB: No question. MySpace.
TC: What new projects do you have coming up?
BB: License to Wed opens on July 4. Starring ME, (with Robin Williams, Mandy Moore, and John Krasinski).
*TWO CENT BONUS QUESTION*
TC: If someone were to climb off a desert island and only have time to watch five movies to learn what American cinema is all about, what five movies would you show them?
BB: Wow. Getting all intellectual are we...well...AMERICAN CINEMA...
The Godfather, Goodfellas, Citizen Kane, Shawshank Redemption, Weekend at Bernies 2
We couldn't be more pleased that Brian took time out to give us his thoughts! Go visit him on MySpace or go see him in Scranton this weekend and if you do, tell him you read his TwoCents on TheTwoCents.com!
